Overview of Criteria
All nominees must have a valid business registration and be a member of GMSA (unless otherwise stated). Nominations submitted after the closing date will not be considered. All nominees should demonstrate integrity; inclusivity; respect; accountability and good communication skills.
Please ensure you upload all requested documents. Only complete submissions will be considered for the selected award.
NOTE: Lifetime, Service to the Private Sector, Private Servant and Diplomatic Corp Awards do not require supporting document uploads, but the reason field MUST be completed.
Export Achievement (H.E. President of Guyana Award)
Awarded to company who's shown a substantial increase in export over previous year.
Nominees must: Upload Evidence of Increased Exportation within a Year (Export document form GRA)
Standards Certification
Awarded to companies who's earned an international certification.
Nominees must: Upload proof of the international certification such as ISO, Yum, FSSC
Introduction of New Technology in Business
Awarded to the entrant with an outstanding digital transformation product or service that aids in transforming the workplace, business models, customer experience or operational models.
Nominees must: Upload Overview of Application / Campaign / App and its use in the workplace
Start-Up Business Award
Awarded to early-stage startups with growth potential. Business must be 2 years of age and under.
Nominees must: Submit evidence of satisfying an existing need
Digital Business Award
Awarded to a business offering a unique digital solution, fulfilling a critical need & widely used.
Nominees must: Evidence that business made a significant impact in the digital world through innovation and leadership
Small Business Award
Awarded to business with an annual turnover of 1.5M – 2M, staff compliment of 1 - 4 and displays strong growth & resilience
Nominees must: Explain what the business plan is for sustained growth
Innovation / Creativity
Awarded to a business that embraces and adapts to change
Nominees must: Submit summary of organisation’s originality
Reduction in Carbon Footprint (Significant Green Initiatives)
Awarded to a business focused on climate change, sustainability, waste management, renewables, or allied sectors.
Nominees must: Submit photos and evidence of use of renewables, waste management, etc. with explanation
Market Penetration
Awarded to a business who entered into new export markets in 2025
Nominees must: Submit evidence of exportation in new market (Submit export document from GRA)
Corporate Social Responsibility
Awarded to a business displayed leadership in advocating for a cause. Demonstrate an unwavering passion and commitment to a cause. Does not have to be a GMSA Member.
Nominees must: Submit evidence of company's contribution to a cause
Diversification of Manufacturing Base
Awarded to a business who's made a significant change in manufacturing or service direction to meet market demands
Nominees must: Evidence of transformation in manufacturing
Significant in the Oil and Gas sector
Awarded to a company who's made notable contributions in the Oil & Gas sector. Does not have to be a GMSA Member.
Nominees must: Submit an overview of significant strides made in the oil & gas sector within a year
